Marketplace safety

Make abuse harder, more detectable, and less profitable.

No online marketplace can promise zero fraud. Our approach is layered verification, controlled contact release, risk screening, two-way response confirmation, clear reporting, and accountability for both customers and DJs.

Account screening

Email/mobile verification, bot controls, rate limits, duplicate-pattern detection, and other appropriate risk signals.

Event screening

Event details, venue/location status, completeness, and plausibility signals can be evaluated before marketplace release.

Controlled contact release

Private customer contact information is intended to remain hidden until a matched DJ intentionally chooses a paid connection.

Two-way confirmation

DJs can report whether customers responded; customers can confirm whether DJ outreach was received. Repeated patterns can trigger review.

Privacy by design

Marketplace users should see verification outcomes without receiving unnecessary sensitive identity or payment data.

Human review

Automated checks should be supported by administrative review and reporting when a request, connection, or account needs additional scrutiny.

Accountability is symmetrical.

A customer who repeatedly submits requests and ignores legitimate connections can damage the marketplace. So can a DJ who unlocks contact information and behaves unprofessionally or falsely reports outcomes. The trust system should evaluate behavior on both sides under the same principle: accurate information, good-faith participation, and honest reporting.

Development notice: DJForYourEvent.com is building these marketplace features in phases. Verification badges, connection fees, connection-review protections, booking protections, and payment handling will apply only when the corresponding feature is active and its requirements are satisfied. We do not claim that fraud can be eliminated completely.
